This guide takes you from nothing to a working question in Claude Desktop. You will need a Seller Central login with access to the accounts you want to report on, and Claude Desktop installed on your computer.
1. Create a workspace and connect Amazon
Sign up, then open Data sources and choose Amazon Seller Central. Sign in with Amazon and approve the requested permissions. Your marketplaces are discovered automatically and appear under your store name.
2. Issue an MCP token
On the Data sources page, open MCP access and issue a token. Give it a name you will recognize later, such as “Claude Desktop — Operations”. Copy the token immediately; it is not shown again.
3. Add the server to Claude Desktop
In Claude Desktop, open Settings, then Developer, then Edit Config. Paste the configuration from the dashboard. It already contains your API address and token.

}4. Restart Claude and ask
Quit and reopen Claude Desktop, start a new chat, and try a question such as “Compare sales and orders for the last 30 days across all of my marketplaces.” Approve the tool call when Claude asks.
